We are deeply saddened by the death of our founder Elliott Galloway. On Saturday, July 5, Mr. Galloway died peacefully at Piedmont Hospital after participating in his 38th consecutive Peachtree Road Race the previous day. True to form, he wore his running shoes to the hospital.
Headmaster of The Galloway School until his retirement in 1990, Mr. Galloway was admired and respected both locally and nationally for his commitment to honoring and educating the whole child.
The school will host a reception on Thursday, July 10 from 2 – 4 pm in the Chaddick Center for the Arts at The Galloway School.
Overflow parking will be available in the gravel lot across from the school and in the Chastain Horse Park lot on Powers Ferry Road. Shuttle buses will run continuously from the lots to the reception.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Elliott Galloway Scholarship Fund at The Galloway School, 215 West Wieuca Road, NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30342.
