Elliott's Run and the Home Fields Dedication

Elliott's Run and the Home Fields Dedication on May 12 was a wonderful success thanks to the efforts of Kim Klumok and Alex Kaminsky. As always Mr. Galloway guaranteed the weather, and it was a beautiful day. A crowd of about 500 listened as Dr. Martinson thanked the construction team and neighbors. Steve Chaddick came forward to dedicate the track as "Elliott's Run." Seniors kicked the soccer ball on the field and ran a baton around the track as the first official events on our new facilities. Parents and friends watched from the shiney, new bleachers.
There were about 400 runners participating. Congratulations to Jake Grant (ML) who won the 5K race. Those who stayed to the end of the morning saw Mr. Galloway finish the 5K, too.
